Unemployment is where I was since August 2010. I got laid off for reasons that aren’t important but I was looking. I hit the pavement and knocked on doors and I got bolder and bolder as time moved on. If I met someone for the first time I’d introduce myself and than just ask “you know anyone hiring?

I heard a song that goes “when you got nothing-you got nothing to lose”. It’s true. I didn’t care what they thought I went into interviews with the attitude that it doesn’t matter because someone is always better than me and DO I REALLY WANT TO WORK HERE.

A lot of the hiring can be done right on the spot but managers want to screen people carefully. I had to wait 8 months before getting hired and for all those phone calls to finally come in. As a public service to you readers I will give you some rules.

1. work on YOU and your wardrobe
2. Talk to everybody you know about work
3. Meet new people and talk about work
4. Find what works for you and WORK IT

5. email jobs everywhere
6. Hit the pavement and give your resumes to everyone
7. Give your resumes to managers
8. Collect phone numbers and emails of prospects

9. Be professional
10. work on you again but be flexible

Now with a job, I got to just take it one day at a time because the reality is I can get fired and there is no job security unless you own the company. For REAL.

Being healthy, my family, my friends, my work…

I’m just a beginner, I photograph because I think the world is so beautiful and I love taking photos of my friends. This is what I have learned so far:
1. If your are photographing a model (specially someone that is just starting), try to be as understanding as possible. Sometimes critics can take take their confidence away and make the shoot harder for both of you.
2. Don’t be picky, most of the time the best photos are the ones that were not planned.
3. You don’t need really expensive equipment to have an awesome shoot.
4. You have a style of your own that no one else has.
5. When using photoshop don’t over do it. People are beautifully unique and that shouldn’t be taken away.

The first song I ever sang was called Impetus, it’s was a dance track recorded for an electronic artist in 2008. After that we’ve worked on 4 more tracks but they were never finished.
This year I started writing my own music and I just finished recording a song called ‘Goodbye’. I am honored to be working with 2 incredible musicians.

Why did you start doing yoga?

Well I was five years old when I was first exposed to it and since kids are natural yogi’s I just caught on because it was fun. Later when I went to my yoga training it was because my mom said it was the best thing she could offer me. She was right, no matter what happens in my life I always have my yoga practice which is something I do just for myself. Something that will help keep my mind and body evergreen – ever youthful and feeling good.

What is Bikram Yoga?

Bikram yoga is series of 26 Postures and 2 breathing exercises practiced in a safely heated environment which allows people to move into and out of postures and improve flexibility. The practice covers every part of the body and it is designed for everyone. Known for helping knees, back mobility and strength, toning and shaping everywhere ( arms, legs and stomach) and it is also great for relieving stress which is important for all diseases. It improves circulation all over the body and in places you didn’t even realize were ignored until you do the yoga. It’s a very complete practice.

Great for weight loss, peace of mind and body, allergies, asthma, diabetes, heart problems, kidneys, lungs, ulcers, anorexia, sciatica, bursitis, arthritis and the list goes on. Also this practice improves concentration power and mental determination. Half of the exercises are standing and half are on the floor. People should expect to sweat a lot so bring a change of clothes.

How does it differ from the other types of Yoga?

Well all yoga is great. I must say that. However in my experience I do believe this system works and creates the best results. If a person can get over the heat by just coming and doing the practice at least five to ten times they then become hooked. Nothing makes you feel as good as Bikram Yoga. That’s just the truth, and it is why I think there are more Bikram Yoga studios worldwide than any other type of yoga. I would bet on that.

How long have you been doing it?
Since I was in the womb. My mother took Bikram yoga while she was pregnant with me. She is a certified teacher too and she is opening a new studio in the Palm Desert (CA) area called Bikram Yoga at University Village.

If someone wanted to do Bikram Yoga and they were beginers what would be the best way to start?

Why? It doesn’t have to be like that-does it? I remember the first time I went to meditation at the Silicon Valley Shamballa Center. I got no instructions (it wasn’t their fault) and I just followed what people were doing. It looked easy so I did it. Damn, was I wrong. It wasn’t even a few minutes and my leg fell asleep. Than my eyes started itchig and than my nose started running. I was determined to be a great meditator even if snot was running down my nose like a faucet leak. Here I was trying to meditate and my body is NOT cooperating with me.

I’m not a specialist or an expert in this meditating stuff. I’m a beginner and I can breathe. The more seasoned practioners always tell me to just go back to the breath. That’s the best advise and the obvious one too. When I’m walking or just going through some bullshit I just have to remind myself to go back to the breath. My mind wanders into places. It wanders into places it doesn’t belong or even understand and meditation is the ONLY way for me to bring it back to the breath. I meditate NOT to try to attain anything, something or nothing. I meditate because the nature of the mind is to wander and even pontificate that wandering crap to others. It doesn’t make me smarter or more proficient in how I make coffee. It’s meditation. Anything you do you have to breathe with it and whether you’re playing ice hockey with monkeys or sitting on a cushion in a room with people you don’t know -it’s breathing. Now, I let it wander like a dog when it’s off it’s leash. I trust it I let it go because that dog is obedient when it wanders but it always comes back. Breathing and meditating works and it’s always in that order as long as I’m here.

Something about cardio vascular activity that we all should know is… Your body adapts to your workout after about two to three weeks, so make sure you change it up. Even little changes will help keep your caloric burn higher!

1. With 6 brothers and sisters, a big familly equals lots of different personalities.
2. I can do some tongue tricks that I randomly discovered one day
3. I have a major issue with odd numbers. I can never pump gas and leave the dollar amount on an odd number.

Give us two pieces of adivise about being a widereceiver if any of us wanted to play that position.
1. Never drop the ball, ever!
2. Always complete the route, even if you don’t get the ball, it helps distract your defense so that the person who does get the pass or run will have less traffic to deal with.

Tell us about a bad audition
I went into this audition for a play and I was so nervous. I couldn’t even read the lines. I was stuttering and kept mis pronouncing the words, so it looked like I didn’t even know how to read.

Before I finished the paragraph they asked me stop reading.

Luckily I’ve learned how to calm my nerves and practice the art of mediatating right before I audition.
